Ideal Background and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs through standardized assessments and functional evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students’ goals
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultation and training for school staff regarding adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
- Support students in achieving greater independence in academic and daily activities
