Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience or strong interest in working in school-based or pediatric settings
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative school team
- Flexibility to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure integrated support
- Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Provide direct and consultative therapy sessions in classroom and small-group settings
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to support students’ occupational therapy goals
