Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Prior experience or strong interest in working in school-based or pediatric settings
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative school team
  • Flexibility to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure integrated support
  • Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy sessions in classroom and small-group settings
  • Educate school staff and families on strategies to support students’ occupational therapy goals
