Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the Greater New Orleans area. This full-time, onsite contract role supports PreK-8th grade learners throughout the academic year, serving a diverse caseload at a vibrant school. You’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated team including a physical therapist, adaptive physical education specialist, and a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is available one day each week for support.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Experience working with school-aged children, especially in PreK-8th grade settings, preferred
  • Solid understanding of providing therapy in educational environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based occupational therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments to identify needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation for student progress and regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with classroom staff, PT, APE, and other allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care
  • Actively engage with students and families to support success both in and outside the classroom
