Occupational Therapist School Setting - Groveland, FL

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Active or pending state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
• Effective communication skills for partnering with staff, students, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple classrooms or grade levels
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities within the educational setting
• Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary IEP teams
• Deliver direct therapy services and consult with educators to support students’ participation and success
• Document interventions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and ongoing support
• Deliver training and resources to teachers and staff as needed
