Work collaboratively with educators and families to help students fully participate in classroom and school activities while delivering the highest level of care.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with developing, implementing, and tracking Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and students
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt strategies to meet unique student needs
- Dependability, flexibility, and a passion for empowering students
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ functional skills within the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized therapy interventions in alignment with IEP requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to enhance students’ participation and success
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress, session notes, and required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations or modifications
- Support educational staff through training and resources on strategies for student success
