School Occupational Therapist | Hampton, Virginia

Working full time on a contract basis, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to enhance students’ learning experiences and development. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license
• Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
• Familiarity and comfort working with students on the autism spectrum
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to design and implement individualized intervention plans
• Passion for working in an educational environment and supporting diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and develop appropriate goals
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to integrate therapy into the daily school routine
• Provide direct OT services to students as outlined in their IEPs
• Monitor and document student progress toward established goals
• Adjust interventions and plans to maximize student growth and engagement
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations for your caseload
• Support and train school staff on strategies to promote student independence and access to curriculum
