Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Prior experience working in school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorder interventions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to design and implement IEP-driven therapy plans
  • Comfort using assessment tools and documenting progress electronically

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students’ occupational therapy needs related to educational goals
  • Develop and implement individualized interventions tailored to each student’s needs
  • Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to ensure effective service delivery
  • Contribute to IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and goal setting
  • Provide direct therapy sessions for students on the autism caseload
  • Educate school staff on strategies to support students’ motor, sensory, and daily living skills within the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records and timely documentation
