You will collaborate with school staff and families to promote student independence, address diverse learning needs, and foster skill development for students across all grade levels.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state
- Experience in school-based OT or a related pediatric setting
- Strong foundation in both fine and gross motor skill development
- Knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Ability to supervise and work alongside Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs
- Assess student abilities and establish targeted interventions to support learning and daily functioning
- Provide direct and consultative services for students, families, and staff
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate actively in meetings
- Adapt therapy sessions and strategies based on student progress and goals
- Bring creative problem-solving and enthusiasm to support every learner
