Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Connecticut is required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred
- Ability to serve and travel to multiple school sites within the district
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Adaptability to shifting schedules and caseloads based on school needs
- Genuine enthusiasm for supporting students with varying abilities and backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT assessments, treatments, and interventions as outlined in student IEPs and 504 plans
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success in the classroom
- Document progress and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, offering professional recommendations
- Develop supportive learning environments and suggest modifications as necessary
- Help students build essential life, motor, and adaptive skills to encourage independence
