Occupational Therapist School Setting - Hartsville, SC

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity empowering young learners through Occupational Therapy services in the Hartsville and Darlington regions. The ideal professional will have a passion for supporting elementary-aged students across multiple sites, with the likely locations encompassing early childhood and elementary schools in Hartsville. Flexibility is key, as final site placements and caseloads are determined at the start of the academic year.

What we’re looking for:

• A current license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in South Carolina
• Demonstrated experience delivering school-based OT services, with insight into IEP requirements
• Comfort with a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, including both direct and consult-based services
• Familiarity with Medicaid billing processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Experience or willingness to serve elementary grade levels

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct and consultative OT services as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Documenting present levels of performance, developing OT-specific goals, and preparing progress reports as required by IEPs
• Accurately managing Medicaid billing paperwork for your caseload
• Collaborating closely with educational staff and families to foster student growth and independence
• Traveling between assigned school sites within the Hartsville or Darlington area
