Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state
  • Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Experience providing OT services in elementary, middle, and/or high school environments
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing procedures (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in students’ IEPs, supporting their educational and developmental goals
  • Complete all required components of IEP documentation, including present levels, progress reports on OT goals, and the development of new OT goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely Medicaid billing records for services rendered
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student care
  • Participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member and contribute to solution-focused discussions
  • Monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed to maximize student success
