This full-time, five-week assignment is ideal for a dedicated OT seeking a short-term placement to cover maternity leave during August and early September. Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state OT license, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEP process and familiarity with working as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable adapting therapy approaches to meet students’ individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in both elementary and middle school environments
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans addressing motor, sensory, and functional challenges that impact learning
- Document student progress and collaborate in IEP meetings to ensure coordinated care
- Consult with teachers and support staff to modify classroom environments or recommend adaptive strategies and equipment
- Engage with families to educate and empower them in helping their student succeed
- Maintain compliance with school, district, and professional guidelines
