An occupational therapist is needed for the 2026-27 school year to provide services across PreK-12th grades. This contract position is based in the Havelock, NC area and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The role involves working within school settings, supporting students' developmental and functional needs to enhance their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students from PreK through 12th grade.
  • Collaborate with educators and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs.
  • Document progress and adapt therapy approaches to meet changing student goals.
  • Engage with families to communicate goals and strategies for student success.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
  • Knowledge of child development and educational frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills tailored to working with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Flexibility to serve multiple locations including New Bern, Havelock, James City, and Merrimon areas.
