This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children across the New Bern, Havelock, James City, and Merrimon areas, working a consistent 37.5 hours per week in educational settings.

Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a supportive environment focused on student growth and achievement. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and a dedicated team of professionals, helping each student overcome barriers and reach their potential.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
  • Knowledge of IEP process and familiarity with providing support across diverse student populations (PreK–12th grade)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to work within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, supporting motor, sensory, and functional skills as outlined in IEPs
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to goal-setting for individual educational plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create and implement effective interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of student progress
  • Provide consultative services and recommendations to ensure student success in both classroom and remote learning environments
