Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment preferred
  • Familiarity with providing services to elementary-aged children
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation
  • Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student growth

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
  • Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to elementary students
  • Support students’ participation in classroom activities, fine motor skill development, and self-care tasks
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into daily routines
  • Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and federal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insight and recommendations for student success
