Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment preferred
- Familiarity with providing services to elementary-aged children
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student growth
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to elementary students
- Support students’ participation in classroom activities, fine motor skill development, and self-care tasks
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into daily routines
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insight and recommendations for student success
