Grades 9 - 12 K-5 School Occupational Therapist | Hawthorne, New York

Make a meaningful impact supporting students with autism, ages 5-21, by delivering essential occupational therapy (OT) services in an educational setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work across grades K-12 and collaborate with skilled staff dedicated to fostering achievement and independence in every learner. The assignment runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (June 2026), providing a rewarding, school-based experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapy certification
• Experience in school settings preferred, especially with K-12 students
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement OT interventions for students with autism
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively partner with educators, families, and support teams
• Compassionate, flexible, and committed to student growth

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students with autism on assigned caseload (ages 5-21)
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s educational goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support student progress
• Document sessions, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Provide adaptive strategies and resources for students and classroom staff
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
