Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy certification required.
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working with students across grades K-12 (ages 5-21).
  • Specialized experience supporting autism spectrum disorders is highly desired.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to various student needs and collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services tailored to individual student needs.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ motor, sensory, and functional skills, creating and implementing individualized therapy plans.
  • Collaborate with special education teams to develop, monitor, and revise IEP goals.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records throughout the academic year.
  • Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student achievements and strategies for classroom and home success.
  • Support transitions and functional skill development, ensuring students have the tools they need for educational and daily life tasks.
