In this role, you will work with students across a range of ages and abilities, collaborating closely with educators and families to design individualized treatment plans that foster success both in and out of the classroom. With two days a week dedicated to direct service, you will have the ability to maintain work-life balance while making a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California (or eligibility).
- Previous experience within a school setting is highly valued.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- A collaborative mindset for working alongside teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for empowering students to succeed academically and socially.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional needs within the educational environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and intervention plans.
- Support students’ participation in classroom and school activities by addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills.
- Consult with staff and families, providing strategies for classroom modification or adaptation.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with school and state guidelines.
This position is conveniently located for candidates in or near Hayward or San Jose and involves on-site presence two days each week.
