Step into a dynamic contract role supporting students from preschool through 8th grade as a school-based Occupational Therapist. You'll work across two welcoming school locations near Hayward, CA, offering your expertise to a caseload of approximately 35 students for the duration of the current school year, with an immediate start through May 29.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
  • Recent experience in school settings, particularly with students ages 3-14
  • Strong understanding of IEP process and goal development
  • Familiarity with a range of therapies and interventions appropriate for early childhood through middle school
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a varied caseload across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ needs through evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services, both group and one-on-one
  • Contribute to annual and triennial IEP meetings and documentation
  • Develop strategies and supports to enhance fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills
  • Work closely with teaching teams and support staff to integrate therapy into classroom environments
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Provide resources and guidance to families to reinforce goals at home
