School Occupational Therapist - Hayward, California

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP process and ability to implement interventions tailored to educational environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine students’ occupational therapy needs within the school setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans that align with educational goals
• Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate student progress
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in compliance with students’ IEPs
• Document evaluations, interventions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations to support student success
