Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and ability to implement interventions tailored to educational environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine students’ occupational therapy needs within the school setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans that align with educational goals
- Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate student progress
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in compliance with students’ IEPs
- Document evaluations, interventions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations to support student success
