Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a valued Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational setting near Hayward, CA. This position is designed for a .6 FTE, working three days per week (21-24 hours), throughout the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to deliver essential OT services, helping students achieve their fullest potential in learning and daily activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California
- Experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs and settings
- Passion for making a positive impact in children’s educational journeys
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and deliver targeted therapy plans within a school environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing skilled insights and student progress
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to integrate strategies across settings
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
