In this full-time, contract opportunity located near Hayward, CA, you'll support K-12 students for the entirety of the school year, providing impactful therapy that enhances learning, independence, and participation in daily school activities.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active California OT license required
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students in educational settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Solid communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong documentation and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs related to motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive functioning
  • Develop and deliver interventions tailored to each student's goals within the school setting
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
  • Monitor and document progress, maintaining timely and accurate records
  • Support IEP development and participate in student meetings
  • Offer consultative services for staff and provide resources for families as needed
  • Adapt your practice to meet the unique developmental and educational requirements across grades K-12
