In this full-time, contract opportunity located near Hayward, CA, you'll support K-12 students for the entirety of the school year, providing impactful therapy that enhances learning, independence, and participation in daily school activities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active California OT license required
- Previous experience working with K-12 students in educational settings strongly preferred
- Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans
- Solid communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs related to motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive functioning
- Develop and deliver interventions tailored to each student's goals within the school setting
- Collaborate with educators and staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
- Monitor and document progress, maintaining timely and accurate records
- Support IEP development and participate in student meetings
- Offer consultative services for staff and provide resources for families as needed
- Adapt your practice to meet the unique developmental and educational requirements across grades K-12
