School Occupational Therapist - Hayward, California

Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the Hayward, CA area. In this impactful, full-time contract position, you'll collaborate with educators, students, and families across three schools. You'll provide both direct interventions to students and crucial consultation services to staff—there are currently 22 direct service cases and 13 consultation cases on your caseload. Your expertise will help ensure each child's functional academic success and overall well-being.

What you'll need to thrive:

• Valid California Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience within a K-12 school setting highly preferred
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently across multiple sites
• Collaborative, communicative, and flexible attitude

Core responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services tailored to student needs
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in IEP processes
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student achievement
• Offer training and recommendations for accommodations in the classroom environment
• Move between three nearby school locations as scheduled to meet students’ needs
