Make a difference in students’ lives as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the vibrant community surrounding Hayward, CA. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to support multiple schools, working closely with educators, families, and other professionals to foster student success and independence.

In this role, you’ll provide dedicated occupational therapy services across three schools, serving a diverse caseload of 22 students requiring direct intervention and 13 students receiving consultation-based support. Your expertise will help address students’ physical, sensory, and fine motor needs, leading to meaningful growth in their daily school activities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist licensure in California
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple school sites efficiently
  • Commitment to inclusivity, advocacy, and team-based care
  • Excellent organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy to students in both direct and consultative models
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
  • Document progress notes and participate in IEP meetings
  • Travel between three school locations as required
  • Provide training and support to school staff related to therapy strategies and accommodations
