Key Qualifications:

  • Valid license as an Occupational Therapist, with eligibility to practice in North Carolina
  • Previous experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare OT settings is highly valued
  • Strong background working with students ages 3-18, including developing and implementing IEPs
  • Solid understanding of sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skill development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with an adaptable, student-centered approach

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services for PreK-12th grade students, both individually and in groups
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and craft tailored intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families for integrated, whole-child support
  • Develop, monitor, and document progress on IEP goals, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Share strategies with staff and parents to foster student growth in school and home environments
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture through professional collaboration

Details:

  • Contract position beginning ASAP through June 8, 2027
  • Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
