Qualifications:
- Active OT license in the state (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience working in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional skills and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to address students’ needs
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services per IEP guidelines
- Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with school/district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional insight into students’ abilities and accommodations needed
- Contribute to the ongoing development of a supportive learning environment
- Adapt interventions and materials to meet the student’s unique goals
