School Occupational Therapist - Herrin, Illinois

Key Qualifications:

• Active OT licensure in Illinois
• Prior experience providing occupational therapy services in educational settings preferred
• Strong understanding of special education processes, IEP development, and therapy documentation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, other therapists, administrators, and families
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver school-based occupational therapy services for students according to IEP goals and district guidelines
• Conduct assessments to identify therapy needs and develop intervention plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, sessions, and progress reports
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering insights and contributing to student success planning
• Adapt strategies to address sensory, motor, and adaptive needs, promoting student participation in classroom activities
• Serve as a resource to staff and families, providing education and guidance on strategies to support student outcomes

The contract spans August 2026 through May 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week. Caseload details will be shared shortly to give a comprehensive overview of your assignment.
