Key Qualifications:
- Active OT licensure in Illinois
- Prior experience providing occupational therapy services in educational settings preferred
- Strong understanding of special education processes, IEP development, and therapy documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, other therapists, administrators, and families
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based occupational therapy services for students according to IEP goals and district guidelines
- Conduct assessments to identify therapy needs and develop intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, sessions, and progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering insights and contributing to student success planning
- Adapt strategies to address sensory, motor, and adaptive needs, promoting student participation in classroom activities
- Serve as a resource to staff and families, providing education and guidance on strategies to support student outcomes
The contract spans August 2026 through May 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week. Caseload details will be shared shortly to give a comprehensive overview of your assignment.
