Your structured weekly schedule includes 37.5 hours dedicated to supporting students’ physical, sensory, and cognitive development within a school environment. The specific caseload will be shared soon, ensuring your expertise is matched with the needs of the school community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy techniques and interventions
- Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work independently
- Compassionate approach to supporting diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings
- Consult with teachers, families, and staff on strategies for classroom and daily success
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
