Occupational Therapist School Setting in Hilton Head Island, SC

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid OT licensure in South Carolina, or eligibility to obtain before starting
• Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
• Skilled in providing individualized and group therapy for students Pre-K through 12th grade
• Competent in conducting comprehensive OT assessments and developing IEP goals
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for family, staff, and student collaboration
• Comfortable utilizing technology for documentation and teletherapy if needed

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering occupational therapy services as outlined in student IEPs
• Designing and implementing interventions to support fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills within the school routine
• Collaborating with educators, families, and other service providers to foster student independence
• Maintaining accurate, timely documentation and progress reporting
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing expertise to multidisciplinary teams
• Providing resources and strategies to teachers and caregivers to promote carryover of therapy goals in multiple settings
