Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving students for the 2026-2027 school year as an Occupational Therapist. This role offers a consistent schedule of 30 hours per week, split across four days with equal time at two distinct school settings nearby. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of practice
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting, with knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies for K-12 students
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and support teams
- Ability to travel easily between assigned schools as scheduled
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and complete required documentation efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess students’ functional abilities and needs through evaluations and standardized assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that support educational goals
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to promote student participation and progress in the classroom
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of services provided and student progress
- Provide training and consultative support to staff and families to maximize student outcomes
- Balance a dynamic schedule, spending two days each week at each assigned location
