Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current OT license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure
  • Previous experience in school-based, healthcare, or home health OT settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education regulations
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Genuine passion for fostering student development and achievement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs within the school environment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable goals to promote student progress
  • Provide direct OT services to students with diverse learning, sensory, or physical challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
