Make a difference in students' lives as an onsite Occupational Therapist in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity begins August 25, 2026, and runs through June 8, 2027, based at schools in the Wilmington, DE area. Full-time hours offer a rewarding balance between personal and professional life as you collaborate closely with educators, students, and families.
Openings are available at three locations:
- Split caseload between Lancashire and Maple Lane Elementary Schools
- Mount Pleasant Elementary School
- Split position serving both Middle and High School students
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware Occupational Therapist license (candidates must provide license and resume for submission)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individual and group therapy plans
- Comfortable working across varied age groups and caseloads
- Please note: This position is not open to COTAs due to supervision requirements
- Candidates must be willing to pay for $85 CBC fingerprinting and confirm compliance
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student progress
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services full-time, Monday through Friday
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records per school and state requirements
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
