Step into a rewarding contract position delivering Occupational Therapy services within a dynamic school environment near Hollywood, FL. This VOCO OT role spans 30 hours per week and involves working across seven schools, where you’ll make a meaningful difference in students’ lives. This opportunity offers a unique blend of direct service and professional leadership, as you will also supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license and eligibility to practice in the state
  • Previous experience in school-based OT settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
  • Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student populations and varying school cultures
  • Organizational skills to efficiently manage responsibilities across multiple sites

Role Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans to support students’ functional and academic goals
  • Travel between seven local schools as scheduled, providing consistent and quality care
  • Conduct assessments and maintain documentation in compliance with district and state standards
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and guidance to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other therapy professionals for integrated student support
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and progress reporting as required
