Occupational Therapist School Setting in Hollywood, FL

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid OT licensure in the state
• Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably with elementary and middle school students
• Proven skills in assessing, planning, and implementing therapy services within a charter or public school context
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, other therapists, students, and families
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for developing reports, IEP documentation, and therapy plans

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, targeting their educational and developmental needs
• Conduct assessments to determine students’ eligibility and therapy requirements
• Develop individualized education program (IEP) goals in alignment with school teams
• Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to support classroom adaptations and student progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the school and state regulations
• Communicate regularly with parents, school staff, and team members to monitor and adjust intervention strategies
