Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a collaborative environment near Houston, TX. This full-time contract role runs ASAP through the end of the school year, partnering with an onsite provider to best serve student needs.

Leverage your expertise to provide both direct and consultative services, with a caseload of 86 students for direct consults and 9 for indirect consults. The population ranges from kindergarten through 12th grade, offering you a dynamic and varied caseload while making a meaningful difference in students’ educational journeys.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
• Previous experience in a school setting, particularly K-12
• Strong consultative and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with an onsite provider and other team members
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload
• Flexibility, organization, and a commitment to student progress

Daily Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students per IEP requirements
• Provide both direct and indirect (consultative) support for students, teachers, and families
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care
• Assist in evaluating and adapting educational materials and classroom environments
• Contribute to IEP meetings and development as needed
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and federal guidelines
