Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students during a maternity leave, with an assignment running from April 13th, 2026 through the end of the school year. This position requires in-person presence near Houston, TX, with some scheduling flexibility for a hybrid arrangement. Both part-time and full-time candidates are encouraged to apply and help provide vital services to students across Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and High School grade levels.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Texas
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably across multiple grade ranges
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and intervention strategies suitable for elementary through high school students
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents
  • Ability to maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Flexibility to work in-person, with potential for some remote work depending on school needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ skills and identify occupational therapy needs within the academic setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and intervention plans for students from Kindergarten through High School
  • Collaborate with educators and other professionals to ensure students’ goals are integrated into classroom activities
  • Provide direct therapeutic interventions as well as consultative services to adapt learning environments
  • Monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Document all services and maintain comprehensive reports for compliance purposes
