Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure
- Experience in a school-based, healthcare, or home health OT setting
- Ability to design and implement effective therapy interventions for children from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and student progress reporting
- Organized, flexible, and comfortable managing a varied caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students, both as direct interventions and consultations
- Complete thorough assessments and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt therapy strategies to meet the unique needs of each student in both school and home health environments
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each child
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to reinforce skills learned in therapy
