Occupational Therapist School Setting in Hubert, NC

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist licensure
• Experience in a school-based, healthcare, or home health OT setting
• Ability to design and implement effective therapy interventions for children from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and student progress reporting
• Organized, flexible, and comfortable managing a varied caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students, both as direct interventions and consultations
• Complete thorough assessments and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Adapt therapy strategies to meet the unique needs of each student in both school and home health environments
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each child
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators
• Educate school staff and families on strategies to reinforce skills learned in therapy
