This full-time, onsite opportunity focuses on delivering high-quality therapy services to support student development and well-being. Collaborate with a strong team, including Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, to create inclusive learning environments and foster student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in Colorado
- Experience in school-based therapy or pediatric populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with staff, students, and families
- Familiarity with developing and executing Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Ability to supervise and guide Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative educational setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat students’ fine and gross motor skills, sensory needs, and adaptive behaviors in alignment with IEP goals
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and COTAs to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and document intervention progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations for student goals and accommodations
- Adapt interventions to suit diverse student needs and maximize independence in the educational environment
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district, state, and federal documentation requirements
