This full-time contract opportunity, running from September through June, calls for a skilled OT to help support both MTSS and general education students in a collaborative, student-centered setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for New York State
  • Experience working in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) practices
  • Ability to adapt interventions for general education students
  • Excellent communication skills to partner with staff and families
  • Collaborative spirit to share therapy space and coordinate with PT
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver occupational therapy to a diverse caseload, averaging 8 sessions each day
  • Provide services from 8:00 am–3:00 pm, Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week)
  • Participate in team meetings, including a preparatory day on September 2 before the first day with students
  • Design and implement individualized and group interventions in alignment with MTSS
  • Document progress, write reports, and communicate effectively with school stakeholders
  • Share therapy space with a physical therapist to promote holistic student support
  • Participate in professional development activities and school functions as required
  • Bill for services on snow days, ensuring continuity and reliability in therapy provision
