Fine Motor Skills Occupational Therapist School Setting - Huntington Beach, CA

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in the Huntington Beach/Santa Ana area as an onsite Occupational Therapist from September 2026 through December 2026, with a potential extension until April. This maternity leave contract is ideal for a professional who thrives in a dynamic, multi-school K-12 setting and is ready to positively impact young lives through expert OT services.

You’ll oversee a diverse caseload of 57 students across five schools, working full-time. Enjoy collaborative support, including two days each week working alongside a talented Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This position offers the chance to utilize your skills in traditional onsite therapy, with opportunities to draw on your experience in teletherapy and home health as needed.

Desired Experience and Credentials:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Previous experience in school-based OT; additional background in home health or teletherapy is an advantage
• Strong command of fine motor skill interventions and K-12 school-based therapeutic techniques
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Familiarity with a variety of assessments and documentation protocols for K-12 students

Responsibilities:

• Assess and address students’ occupational therapy needs to support their educational goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for diverse student populations
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote students’ participation and achievement
• Manage confidential records, progress notes, and required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
