Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for New York State
  • Experience working in school-based or pediatric OT environments
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and students
  • Ability to work independently and manage treatment plans for a small caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to three assigned students in a charter school, focusing on their unique developmental and educational needs
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and track student progress
  • Document interventions, progress, and maintain compliance with all required reporting standards
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure seamless integration of OT strategies into students' daily routines
  • Respond promptly to student and team needs, adapting interventions to promote engagement and achievement
