Key Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current OT license in Maryland (or eligibility)
- Previous experience as a school-based OT or in a pediatric clinical setting preferred
- Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Adaptable, compassionate, and resourceful approach to therapy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students’ needs in areas such as fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, or activities of daily living
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans supporting educational goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and progress updates
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in classrooms or one-on-one settings
- Maintain thorough records that comply with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with staff to modify classroom materials and approaches for student accessibility
