Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Maryland OT or COTA license required
- Experience or interest in working with students on the autism spectrum, those with communication challenges, and students with significant behavior needs
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload across multiple school sites (specific sites discussed during interview)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Committed to ongoing professional development and teamwork
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy services to elementary-age students in both direct and consultative formats
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and documentation as required by the district
- Collaborate closely with special education staff, classroom teachers, administrators, and families
- Support students’ access to academic life skills curricula
- Develop individualized intervention plans and adapt approaches as needed
- Benefit from a flexible scheduling model: set your own weekly schedule in coordination with building administrators (minimum of 21 hours direct service/week out of 35 hours total)
