Exciting opportunities await experienced Occupational Therapists interested in making a lasting impact within an innovative school community. Four full-time contract positions are available, working on-site with elementary-aged students (ages 3 through 5th grade). Your expertise will help support diverse learners across several schools, with details about specific locations to be finalized during the interview process.

This role begins August 10, 2026, and continues through June 8, 2027, offering a 35-hour work week. Therapists enjoy the flexibility to design their own schedules—pending building administrator approval—with 21 weekly hours devoted to direct services. Caseloads are dynamic and will include students requiring academic life skills support, as well as those with high-level autism, complex communication needs, and behavioral needs. You’ll collaborate closely with a supportive district team, including access to a robust mentor program and comprehensive district assistance for behavioral interventions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Maryland Occupational Therapy license (required)
  • Previous experience in a school-based OT setting, working with elementary-aged children
  • Strong commitment to supporting children with diverse learning, communication, and behavioral needs
  • Knowledge of academic life skills and strategies for students on the autism spectrum
  • Excellent communication and case management skills
  • Flexibility to work across multiple schools, if needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for elementary students
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services for students with a range of needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Document progress and maintain up-to-date records
  • Participate in IEP and team meetings as required
