Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Maryland, with experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Comfortable providing direct services (approximately 15-17 hours/week) and consultative support
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff
  • Experience assessing, planning, and implementing IEP goals for students with diverse needs
  • Eagerness to work onsite and complete an in-person interview to ensure the best fit for school environment
  • Commitment to a contract-to-permanent arrangement, open to transitioning into a long-term role

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students grades 8-12 (ages 13-21), addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and ongoing interdisciplinary team activities
  • Utilize Wednesdays for documentation, meetings, and catching up on administrative responsibilities
  • Engage fully in a year-round academic calendar, supporting continuity of care
