Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working within a K-12 school setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff and families
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs and developmental levels
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress, maintain compliance with school system and regulatory requirements
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills needed for classroom success
- Offer training and resources to teachers and support staff to maximize student benefit from interventions
