Occupational Therapist School Setting in Hyattsville, MD

Make an impact by providing vital Occupational Therapy services to students in grades 8-12 (ages 13-21) in a welcoming, year-round school environment located near Hyattsville, MD. This contract opportunity offers you a chance to support diverse learners while collaborating closely with educational teams and families.

Start as soon as possible and work approximately 15-17 direct service hours weekly, offering both individualized and consultative services. You’ll enjoy structured midweek support—Wednesdays are half days for students, with the afternoon set aside for documentation, meetings, or catching up on essential tasks.

What You’ll Contribute:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services tailored to students’ individual needs
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to implement effective interventions
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation of services and progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions
• Adapt and modify therapeutic approaches for adolescents aged 13-21
• Engage in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment in a year-round educational setting

What We’re Looking For:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Maryland
• Experience working in a school setting, preferably with adolescent and transition-age students
• Comfort providing services to students with diverse needs and backgrounds
• Commitment to collaborative, student-centered practice
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Availability for onsite interviews—this is required to ensure the best fit for both you and the school community
