Occupational Therapist School Setting - Independence, MO

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving as an occupational therapist (OT or COTA) across multiple school sites near Independence, MO. This role spans from August 25th to December 18th, leading up to the winter break. You'll support students at several school locations, including elementary, middle, and high school settings, ensuring each student on your caseload receives consistent care and attention.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and valid OT license in Missouri
• Experience working in school-based settings, especially with diverse student populations
• Strong organizational skills to manage a multi-site caseload
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with faculty, staff, and families
• Comfort working independently and developing your own weekly schedule with initial oversight

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to a caseload of around 32 students, delivering approximately 800 minutes weekly
• Manage your weekly schedule and travel between assigned school sites (elementary, middle, and high school)
• Document services and maintain accurate records per school protocols
• Collaborate with special education staff and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Develop and adapt interventions tailored to each student's unique needs and educational goals

This is a full-time contract position, with typical work hours from roughly 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (7.5 hours daily). You will enjoy the autonomy to build your own schedule, ensuring flexibility as you meet the needs of your students and sites.
