An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide maternity leave coverage in a supportive school setting near Indianapolis, IN. This contract position begins in mid-August and is scheduled for 12 weeks, with the possibility of extending further. The role is part-time, totaling 24.5 hours per week across 3.5 days, and covers students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Indiana
- Previous experience as an OT in school-based settings preferred
- Comfortable collaborating with diverse K-12 student populations
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to independently manage a flexible caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop treatment plans for students requiring occupational therapy support
- Provide direct and consultative services to students, teachers, and families
- Document sessions, progress, and collaborate with IEP teams
- Support students in reaching academic and functional goals
- Adjust interventions as needed to address student needs throughout the assignment
