Key Qualifications:

  • Active licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Florida
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Understanding of IEP processes and ability to document progress in alignment with educational goals
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, staff, and administrators
  • Flexibility and adaptability when managing a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver individualized therapy services to students in PreK–12th grade
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and other support staff to develop and implement effective interventions
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to plans tailored to each student's unique needs
  • Monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies to maximize student participation and achievement
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate regularly with parents and caregivers
