Make a meaningful impact as a contract Occupational Therapist providing services to PreK-12th grade students over the 2026-2027 school year. This exciting opportunity spans from July 27, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a steady schedule of 37.5 hours per week and an hourly pay range of $45-$55. You’ll collaborate with school professionals across 2-3 sites, supporting caseloads typically between 45-50 students. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping students achieve their educational and developmental goals in a welcoming school environment near Irmo, SC.

Qualifications:

  • Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Experience in school-based settings; familiarity with PreK-12 student populations
  • Knowledge of best practices in OT for educational and home health environments
  • Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation
  • Strong communication skills to engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ needs through direct observation and standardized testing
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention plans for students across multiple schools
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers and support staff
  • Collect and maintain progress data, updating service plans as necessary
  • Provide support and education to families to reinforce student progress outside of school
  • Document therapy sessions in accordance with school and district guidelines
