A full-time opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in a school setting, located in Irvine, CA. This contract role provides a chance to make a meaningful impact on the development and success of children across various grade levels during the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students, enhancing their academic performance and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Assess student needs through evaluation and observation to create tailored treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and parent conferences to advocate for student needs.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in school-based settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices within K-12 education.
- Ability to design and implement interventions aimed at improving fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Commitment to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week for the contract duration.
