Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric OT practices and educational frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of a school environment
  • Ability to create and implement individualized plans targeting school-related goals

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to determine student needs within the educational setting
  • Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapeutic interventions
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to students with diverse abilities
  • Document student progress and maintain organized records in compliance with school and regulatory standards
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, other therapists, instructional aides, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Educate staff and parents on strategies that support students’ success in the classroom
