Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric OT practices and educational frameworks
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of a school environment
- Ability to create and implement individualized plans targeting school-related goals
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to determine student needs within the educational setting
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapeutic interventions
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students with diverse abilities
- Document student progress and maintain organized records in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively with teachers, other therapists, instructional aides, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate staff and parents on strategies that support students’ success in the classroom
