Fine Motor Skills School Occupational Therapist - Irvine, California

Step into a dynamic role supporting students’ growth and development in a collaborative educational environment. A full-time Occupational Therapist contract opportunity is available for the 2026 school year, covering a maternity leave from September through December—with the possibility to extend through April. You’ll work onsite with an engaged student population (K–12), serving five schools near Santa Ana and Irvine, CA. With the support of a dedicated COTA two days per week, you’ll make a direct impact on the lives of 57 students.

What we’re seeking:

• Valid California Occupational Therapist license
• Experience in school-based OT (elementary, middle, and/or high school)
• Strong background in fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills intervention
• Comfort and effectiveness in teletherapy, home health, and traditional school settings
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
• Adaptability across multiple campuses and diverse caseloads
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

What you’ll do:

• Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to help students access their educational curriculum
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services onsite, with occasional teletherapy as needed
• Collaborate and consult with educators, families, and support staff to ensure integrated support
• Monitor and document student progress, updating goals and interventions as appropriate
• Work alongside a COTA two days per week to coordinate and enhance service delivery
• Contribute to IEP meetings and provide professional input for student plans
