Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license (OT) for North Carolina
  • Previous experience in school-based, home health, or general healthcare OT settings is valued
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of best practices for pediatric therapy and ability to adapt interventions for varying age groups, from kindergarten through high school
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to support academic participation and daily living skills

  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Consult and educate school personnel on strategies for supporting students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive needs
