Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license (OT) for North Carolina
- Previous experience in school-based, home health, or general healthcare OT settings is valued
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of best practices for pediatric therapy and ability to adapt interventions for varying age groups, from kindergarten through high school
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to support academic participation and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy goals within the classroom and home environments
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult and educate school personnel on strategies for supporting students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive needs
