Make a meaningful impact as a contracted Occupational Therapist supporting students from early childhood through 5th grade. This opportunity centers on fostering student development in a welcoming, dynamic school environment close to Janesville, WI. Enjoy the flexibility of full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time (.5 FTE or higher) schedules with a structured day from 8:00am to 3:30pm, plus occasional after-hours meetings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist licensure, eligible for practice in educational settings
  • Proven experience working within schools, pediatric healthcare, or home health environments
  • Strong knowledge of interventions for elementary-aged students (EC–5th grade)
  • Ability to collaborate professionally with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
  • Skilled in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress
  • Commitment to providing in-person services—this assignment does not include remote options
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to students in elementary grades
  • Assess student needs and develop individualized intervention plans, focusing on fine/gross motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service professionals to support student IEPs and 504 plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to after-hours sessions as required
  • Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and related documentation
  • Promote inclusive learning environments and strategies in classroom settings
  • Advocate for students’ needs and help empower families with resources and education
