Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure, eligible for practice in educational settings
- Proven experience working within schools, pediatric healthcare, or home health environments
- Strong knowledge of interventions for elementary-aged students (EC–5th grade)
- Ability to collaborate professionally with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
- Skilled in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress
- Commitment to providing in-person services—this assignment does not include remote options
- Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to students in elementary grades
- Assess student needs and develop individualized intervention plans, focusing on fine/gross motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service professionals to support student IEPs and 504 plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to after-hours sessions as required
- Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and related documentation
- Promote inclusive learning environments and strategies in classroom settings
- Advocate for students’ needs and help empower families with resources and education
